Tehillim Shabbos Morning
I wanted to remind all parents of boys ages 6 -11 that I lead a tehillim gathering at chabad youth club shabbos morning between 9:45 – 10:00 am. I am attempting to help the children memorize Chapters 2 and 20 in tehillim and once they do memorize they will receive a mp3 player (1 gb) thanks to the special sponsors dear friends Nosson Hecht and Sholom Jacobs.
Looking forward to seeing as many boys as possible.

Machsom L'fi
While Shmiras Haloshon is a requirement every day and at all times, focusing specifically on this mitzvah for a set period each day is a proven way to bolster your overall observance. Those who undertake a Machsom L'fi, commit themselves, in conjunction with others, to avoid speaking or hearing loshon hora during a two- hour period each day. This can be done as a powerful merit for someone who is ill, or for anyone that needs Divine mercy. We are looking for at least 9 people willing to commit for a 2 hour time slot for one week. More participants are welcome since it would be better to have each time slot covered by 2 people just in case someone forgets. The commitment will also include daily learning of the laws of |
They did it with so much joy and many of them told me that they would daven tehillim for him on a daily basis.
We really have a special and caring community.

Tehillim
Binyamin had B"H a very playful Shabbos, he was in a great mood. We even got our own room! About 2 hrs before Shabbos was ending I went to lift him up and the "lines or tubes" which are connected on one side to the chemo and the other side to a port in his chest also known as a metaport. The lines are quite long to allow for Binyamin to walk around and play. Anyways I went to pick him up to rest with me and the line got caught in the chair... It tugged a little too much and caused to port to remove itself from the main vein. And its not working anymore :o( so unfortunately Binyamin will need surgery again to have it repaired...
Will update more tomorrow!!!

the following pictures were taken on 5/5/11. the pictures of Binyamin eating are special since its been days since he ate - and he was blowing me kisses. the pictures of Binyamin with the older boys is cute since the boys came to the hospital today to see if they are bone marrow donor matches. anyways with my Drs. permission we snuck Binyamin out of the Oncology ward (where he is kept in his room 24/7 in isolation since he has a slight "cold") and took him into a conference room to spend about 20 min visiting with his brothers (who were given Oreo cookies for being so brave and sharing their blood to make their brother stronger). Enjoy the pics :o) Keep doing Mitzvahs to help him get stronger!

Dear All,
First of all - Motty and I would like to thank you all for your amazing support! Thursday evening April 28th Motty took Binyamin to have his blood drawn. Friday morning we received results that his blood work was troublesome - Motty and I were in the city at work. we took a taxi home, picked up Binyamin and got to the hospital and was quickly told that our DEAR SON BINYAMIN has Leukemia… Binyamin's form of Leukemia is "AML" Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The treatment is basically IY"H (should he respond well to the Chemo) going to be 4 weeks in the hospital than 3 DAYS home than 6 weeks in the hospital 3 days home back and forth for 4 "rounds" of Chemo Therapy. B"H Binyamin has minimally gained some of his appetite back. the first few days were scary for him and he wasn’t eating (he was being poked a lot with needles) - and now that he has his medevac in he is able to have his blood drawn threw there as well as receive his Chemo. Every day is going to pose its own challenges - life as we knew it will never be the same. HOWEVER we have an amazing group of "FAMILY" who has rallied around us and come up with AMAZING ways to spread the word that we need Tehillim, Challah and Mitzvahs done in Binyamin Zev Zechus. reading the blog daily has literally brought tears to our and our families eyes seeing what you all our doing. Please if it's not too personal shoot me an email and tell me what Mitzvah you have taken on in the Zechus of Binyamin's Refuah.
With all our LOVE,
Motty and Sharrone
